The Space

The Temporium is located in the R.L. Christian Innovation Center, the site of the former R.L. Christian Library. The library was named in honor of Robert Lee Christian, who was dedicated to education, and community empowerment and cohesiveness. He was the founder and executive director of the Northeast Neighborhood House, he organized a Right-to-Read program, established an emergency food bank for families in the community, and implemented numerous programs for children. We are proud to continue the community-minded ideals of this admirable man!

The following DC-based artists have helped transform the physical space into a fashion boutique. However, the spirit of Mr. Christian lives on!

AM RADIO
AM Radio painted murals in both fitting rooms/bathrooms.

AM Radio (Artwork Mbilashaka), a subsidiary of Mosi Graphic Design Group, a multidisciplinary entertainment marketing/design agency, is a collective of visual artists, whose mission is to infuse the raw elements of sound and texture to inspire life. AM Radio’s principle job is to create branded experiences by promoting brand awareness and helping to bring together influencers and new consumers. AM Radio creates original content for live events, including the Temporium site.

AM Radio (Artwork Mbilashaka) was conceptualized and brought to fruition in the fall of 2004 in Washington, DC. Mbilashaka is Swahili for without a doubt. Since it’s inception Artwork Mbilashaka, comprised of four artists and a dj, has lived up to its name, proving time and time again its uncanny ability to work as a cohesive unit, unrelenting in its push to create artwork that leaves no doubt in its audiences minds or hearts.

ALBUS CAVUS
Albus Cavus painted the exterior of the building.
